For Halloween bathroom decor, I would focus on the mirror, counter and door. Each spot gets one small change. Water, outlets and steam make the choice of materials matter more here than in a living room.
I would put paper bats on a dry area beside the mirror, a washable tray on the counter and something light on the door. Leave room to wash your hands and use the mirror on a weekday morning. Keep the floor, lights and outlets clear.

You do not need all three spots in a tiny bathroom. A counter tray alone may be enough. Leave the floor bare so it stays easy to clean and dry.
Paper bats by the mirror
Cut paper bats in two sizes and test your adhesive on an inconspicuous, dry surface. Mount the bats on a removable frame area or wall, not where condensation runs or where they could obstruct a fixture. Adhesive may still damage the finish, especially where humidity collects. Command’s bathroom guidance distinguishes its bathroom-rated water-resistant strips from ordinary adhesives and says to follow the surface and weight instructions. Read the manufacturer’s guidance before hanging anything.
A tray on the counter
Put one faux pumpkin and one closed jar on a washable tray. Keep the tray away from the edge of the sink and don’t fill a jar with anything that looks like medicine or food if children might reach it. In a shared bathroom, a single dark hand towel may be a better cue than an object that steals counter space.
Keep the door clear
If the door has an appropriate hanger, use one lightweight wreath. Check the swing and latch with the door fully open and closed. Skip a hanging prop on a door that leads out of the room if it snags on the handle or narrows the passage.
What I would not put in a bathroom
- Real candles. Use a battery-operated candle only if it can stay dry and the manufacturer’s label permits the location. NFPA recommends battery-operated candles for Halloween displays and keeping decorations away from heat sources.
- Plug-in light strings near water. An indoor string light is not automatically suitable for a damp bathroom. Check the product rating and your electrical setup; do not run cords across a sink or floor.
- Loose gauze around bulbs, vents or heaters. Fabric and paper belong well away from heat and airflow. Keep vents open.

From October back to everyday
After Halloween, take down the paper bats and door decoration. Keep the tray if it holds your everyday things. Test any adhesive first, and check the finish when you remove it.
